Arlen Talks a Lifelong Music Career in Detroit and the Importance of Giving Back on Behind the Mic

December 5, 2018

Arlen Viecelli has been making music in Detroit for many years now.

First rising to popularity with the group Salem Witchcraft in the 1970s, Alren was able to share the stage with big names such as KISS, Aerosmith, REO Speedwagon and many others.

Eventually tiring of life on the road, the singer/guitarist decided to settle back in metro Detroit and has been enjoying a solo career, releasing the Christmas album Holy Knight and performing at venues around the area. He also performs with the local group Brownsfield Station.

While recently guesting on Behind the Mic with Pam Rossi, Arlen revealed the one thing he's carried with him throughout his career, which is the importance of giving back.

In fact, the proceeds from all of his shows and music goes directly to charity.

"If you're in this business this long and you're still surviving and you have a wonderful family and a roof over you're head, then you've been blessed," he told Pam Rossi. "That's my way of giving back."

Watch Arlen perform three new songs on his episode of Behind the Mic, and catch Arlen Viecelli performing next at The Token Lounge on January 19.
