May 7, 2019

Don't let their name fool you: Strictly Fine is so much more.

The 8-piece band, which has roots in funk, jazz and even soul, has played around the midwest under a few different incarnations for the past several years before settling on their current lineup, which includes: Dave Vessella on trumpet/vocals, Adam Dib on alto sax, Chris Kendall on trombone, Garrett Gaina on baritone sax, Mike Harrison on keys/guitar/vocals, Rick Morrone on bass, and Eric Childress II and Sean Perlmutter on drums/percussion.

Seven of those eight stopped by the MusicTown Detroit studios on Monday, May 6 for a memorable performance on Behind the Mic with Pam Rossiwhere they played three new songs from their upcoming record and provided plenty of good stories and great laughs.

Strictly Fine drops their new album on Friday, May 31 at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, and will continue to perform around the area into the summer.
